WB JEE Board is a state level entrance examination for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering and technology, pharmacy and architecture of various universities, government colleges and self-financed institutions.
The entrance examination will be held on 30 April 2023. Paper I (Mathematics) will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and Paper II (Physics, Chemistry) will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The questions will be in multiple choice format. State level entrance exam is conducted every year for admission in various UG programs in colleges.

Aspirants appearing for the WBJEE 2023 examination will be allowed entry into the examination centers only if they carry a printed copy of the West Bengal JEE 2023 admit card, a copy of the color photograph uploaded during the online WBJEE application and a photo identity proof in original. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board has released the admit card of WB JEE 2023 on 20 April 2023.
Aspirants can download it from the official website of the board, wbjeeb.nic.in. Aspirants appearing in both the papers are eligible for both General Merit Rank (GMR) as well as Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) and can apply for admission to all the courses. Only those who take Paper 2 are eligible for PMR. Such aspirants can apply for admission only in Pharmacy courses except Jadavpur University.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has issued the WBJEE Exam Hall Ticket 2023 on 20 April 2023. As per the released schedule, aspirants will be able to download their admit card card online by April 30 at wbjeeb.nic.in. To download their WBJEE admit card 2023, they will need the application number and password entered in the login window.
In order to appear for the West Bengal JEE exam, aspirants need to carry their admit card to the centre. Without it, the invigilator will not allow them to enter the examination hall. So, they need to download WBJEE 2023 Admit Card online.
WBJEE Exam Pattern 2023
- WB JEE Exam will contain objective multiple choice type questions of a total of 200 marks
- 120 minutes for Physics and Chemistry and 120 minutes for Mathematics.
- The questions will be based on the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- The questions will be divided into three categories as category 1, category 2, and category 3. In every subject, all questions will be Multiple Choice Questions, with four options.

Category 1:
- In this category only one option is correct, the correct response should be marked awarded one mark
- For the incorrect answer, 25% (-1/4) of the full mark would be deducted
- For marking of more than one answer to the particular question, the answer will be considered as incorrect. Marks will also be deducted on the basis of rule enumerated
Category 2:
- The aspirant has to choose only one option and the correct answer would be awarded two marks
- For an incorrect response, 25 per cent of full marks (-1/2) would be deducted
- For more than one answer indicated against the particular question in the OMR sheet, the answer will be considered incorrect. Marks will be deducted on the basis of rule enumerated
Category 3:
- In this category, more than one option may be correct and marking of all correct options will yield two marks
- For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect responses, the net mark awarded will be zero
- For partially correct response without any incorrect marking marks awarded=2x( no of correct responses) (total no of correct options)
